Dispersant

Dispersants are additives used in engine oils to prevent the formation of deposits and sludge by dispersing solid particles and contaminants within the oil. These deposits and sludge can be formed due to the accumulation of contaminants such as soot, wear particles, and oxidation byproducts. Dispersants keep these particles suspended in the oil, preventing them from settling and forming deposits on engine components.
